My first gadget made by Philips wasn’t actually mine, it was my brothers discman. I had often secretly taken it for a long periods of time, and it was my trusted companion during school trips and those hangover mornings. I really loved its headphones, since they were very soft and a perfect fit to my small earlobes. My second product from Phillips was a MP3 player. It had a great design. Esthetics of a product was always a major factor with me. In our household there are several Phillips appliances that we use on a daily basis, and most important ones are Philips Smart TV and vacuum cleaner.
And thus, I was really glad when I got the opportunity to try Philips AquaTrio Pro.
My parents had for a years now, vacuum cleaner that operates on water, and living with them and using that vacuum cleaner, I was aware that involves a little more work with him when the actual vacuuming is over. That includes emptying the water tank, cleaning the brushes and some other parts through which water flows.
On the other hand, water vacuuming was great for me, an asthmatic, because there were very small amount of dust particles in the air. And it was somewhat convenient just throw that dirty water in the toilet bowl instead of dealing with the paper bags full of dust and dirt, perhaps even a bug or two.
Philips AquaTrio Pro uses two water tanks. First one, that is located on the top of the cleaner, is the one where you pour the clean water and/or few drops of the cleaning product (which can give that fresh and clean smell), and just below the first tank is situated the second one, which is getting filled with the dirty water during the cleaning process.
Floor will be wet for a few minutes, which makes sense since you’re doing wiping and vacuuming at the same time. But it will get dry much faster than when you wipe the floor with the standard moop.
That is a great for someone who got a lot of tiles and wooden floor area.
So basically, this vacuum cleaner is designed for everyday cleaning of the hard floors and it is not suitable for the carpets.
In our living space, only small area in the living room has a carpet, and because of that I need the standard vacuum cleaner, I can’t exclusively use Phillips AquaTrio, but AquaTrio is ideal in handling the area around the dining table, especially after my girls finish their meal(one can literally scrape the rice from the floor for another full plate), since it at the same time vacuums and moops.
To be honest, I prefer vacuuming than rubbing and mopping floors and dealing with all those wet rags and moops. So for this kind of work, Philips AquaTrio is more than useful. Especially in the kitchen. It is perfect for the ceramic tiles, even do it’s somewhat bulky and you can’t really reach those corners and edges, or floor that is beneath low beds or couches.
I must point out, that the length of the power cord is quite long enough, and you don’t have to constantly change power outlets when moving around your house or apartment. This device has a system of active protection that activates itself when there is perhaps something like Lego or a rock, that can damage the vacuum-cleaner. Activates in the sense that it shuts off.
You can handle this vacuum-cleaner just as easy as any other (ON switch is located ok the steering handle), and if you came across stainted spot, just run over it and it will be gone! Maximal noise level is around 86 decibels. When considering that quiet type of vacuum-cleaners procude around 58 decibels, it might sound as a big difference, but to it is still considerly quiet, since our previous Phillips vacuum-cleaner was much louder. Regarding the esthetics, this device might seem a bit bulky, but it still has nice and elegant design, and it comes with it own stand, so you can easily store it in your designated storage. So to sum it up, when cleaning those cottonweb corners, carpets or floor beneath the low beds, you will need another vacuum cleaner, and for everything else you can use Phillips AquaTrio as a perfect substitute for a wet and dry moop, killing the two flies with the one stone, so to say.
